This has to be the BEST nursery that I have ever been into. I have worked in nurseries and schools for over 25 years and I have never encountered a more professional and high standard establishment.

The staff are high quality and well qualified, they are well organised and excellent with the children. The environment is excellent with great provision in and out of the building. Bacup Nursery School is an asset to Rossendale council. In my opinion this nursery is irreplaceable. We can’t thank you enough for your professional and caring approach to giving the children the absolute best possible start to their learning journey.

Absolutely amazing nursery! My daughter has loved it here, I couldn’t recommend it more. The amount she has learnt here is unbelievable, she has taught me a few things! The staff are so kind and caring, they couldn’t do more to help. Having the chance to visit nursery for sports days, forest school days, reading days etc, I can understand why she likes it here so much. This is an outstanding stand- alone nursery school. Thank you for giving her a great start in her education.

I highly recommend Bacup Nursery School which is totally separate to the primary school.

Every member of staff make this nursery school the happiest and best educational start any parent and child could want. I can’t believe how much my granddaughter has been taught and how much confidence and social skills she has acquired whilst being here. I love the file she received at presentation night of all the things she has done whilst being there. I hope she loves school like she has loved nursery.

I always thought there would be no nursery or school that would make me feel at ease leaving my child at…Till I visited Bacup Nursery School. My child had been crying at a previous nursery and it felt wrong and dis-engaged, till we moved her to Bacup Nursery School. The environment, teachers and staff are exceptional!!! My child has genuinely loved going to nursery school every single day, and the nursery school is lead by an amazing Head Teacher whose ethics clearly run through the whole school. Miss Proctor and Mrs Pollitt are the 2 most wonderful teachers we have ever known and we have 2 older children spread across primary and high school so we have experienced a range of teachers and schools. All the staff are a credit to the nursery school and the community. I wish my child could remain at this nursery but unfortunately she needs to move on. To the headteacher and all the staff at Bacup Nursery School, sincerely well done. You have created an exceptional learning environment where children feel safe and happy.

Brill Nursery. Staff are brilliant with the children. 2 of my children have attended and now my grandchildren also. My 2 year old loves going to nursery. She did struggle leaving me in a morning but staff soon settled her down. I love the outdoor areas for them.

Bacup Nursery School is absolutely what Ofsted says…OUTSTANDING. Both my children have attended this nursery and both have been given the most amazing start to their educational journey. My eldest has special educational needs and without Bacup Nursery would not have had a diagnosis nor had a Education, Health, Care Plan in place before starting primary school. The staff are wonderful, warm and friendly. They have the highest standards to obtain the highest achievements for their pupils. My youngest leaves this year and I am so very sad that Bacup Nursery won’t be in our lives anymore, but I can absolutely say it will remain in our hearts forever.

The best nursery in Rossendale! Both of my children have attended Bacup Nursery and we have been blown away by the quality of care and education received. The leadership & staff are all of the highest level and they really go the extra mile for the children & families. Each child is made to feel special & supported, and learning is delivered in a fun environment. The addition of the AFTER SCHOOL CLUB HOURS is a brilliant offering available now too! I’ll be very sad for my youngest to be leaving in July but I know that she has been given the best start in her education, thanks to Bacup Nursery School.

Bacup Nursery really is Outstanding! Both my boys have been here, albeit six years apart but it’s only got better and it was pretty amazing the first time around! Jackson has been so settled here and truly loved every single second of his nursery journey. He’s learned so much at Bacup Nursery School: writing, reading, sounding words and he’s developed a good understanding of numbers, shapes and problem solving. He's learnt how to be a good friend, how to challenge and stretch himself and how to express himself in a kind and considerate manner. This is because of the core values and the nurturing environment here. All staff are approachable, welcoming and they genuinely care for all the children. It’s professionally run with a Mother’s touch… like home from home. I will always cherish our time spent at this wonderful nursery, and we thank all the staff for the happy memories made. It’s a true gem!!

Both my children have attended Bacup Nursery School from the age of 2. My youngest is just about to finish and start school. The nursery school absolutely deserves its OUTSTANDING rating awarded by Ofsted. The warmth and care both my children have received from the staff has made them immensely comfortable and confident in a school setting. The curriculum at nursery really helps the children start learning and grasping the basics which gives them a head start when it’s time for primary school. Bacup Nursery School is absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend it highly enough. All their staff are wonderful with the children. They have time, patience and love for them all. My little boy loves coming here. I personally love the structured learning which will enable him to be school ready and the outdoor area and Forest School are fantastic too. It’s also lovely that there are days where parents can go in to see what the children do and take part in things such as Sports Days etc. A very warm and welcoming nursery, teaching children great life values aswell. Bacup Nursery School is a wonderful nursery. Both my children have been lucky enough to attend this nursery and have loved their time there. The facilities are amazing, including a forest school to encourage outdoor learning. Most importantly, the nursery has a kind and caring approach with a high standard of learning. The teachers are an inspiration, constantly promoting new ideas to engage the children. This is the most wonderful nursery and I would highly recommend.

I have 4 children, all which have attended Bacup Nursery School. The nursery and the staff are fantastic, I can’t fault them on anything. My youngest was born in Lockdown so really didn’t have much communication or interaction with other children until she started nursery at 2. Everyday I see her personality come out more, this is because the staff put in all the effort with each and every child. Also seeing how the staff are with children with disabilities is the most heart warming thing to witness, they never leave any child out and the staff will do what they can for all the children to be involved. The nursery is no way connected to the school next door. The nursery is also open till 5.30pm every day. If you’re looking for a nursery for your child then Bacup Nursery is the nursery to pick.

It has certainly been a year to remember. From the start of this pandemic a scary world appeared for both us and our children. Lots of uncertainty and not knowing what was happening to us. Bacup Nursery School has stood tall and gone above and beyond any of our expectations. Meaning I can still work and provide for my boys but a big weight has been lifted knowing that my son is being looked after. Mrs Cooper is truly an angel from above, not only has she gone above and beyond, she has done her very best for every single parents and child at nursery. She has also gone out of her way to protect all her staff whilst adhering to the strictest policy and procedures and guidelines. She has kept everybody safe and well whilst still ensuring a happy positive place for the children. She gets even better, still managing to book a very busy Father Christmas for the children, social distancing measures still adhered to! She never fails to amaze me! I genuinely feel since my son, Alfie started Bacup Nursery School, I have gained a whole new family. The whole team of lovely ladies show nothing but love, support and dedication for my son and all the other children. I feel us parents and children are truly blessed and very lucky to have these wonderful ladies and this nursery. The love and affection just pours out of the front doors. As a parent, I feel the love that comes from the nursery is as soon as the door is opened. The headteacher Mrs Cooper, has shown such strength, determination and commitment throughout these unprecedented times, not only adhering to all the procedures and Government guidelines but by still maintaining and providing an exceptional service to all parents and children. My son, Alfie runs to nursery everyday, his little legs cannot wait and cannot wait to see his friends and teachers, eager to start playing and learning. My son has learnt so much whilst at nursery. He amazes me everyday. Myself and the other parents would 100% agree Bacup Nursery School deserves the biggest, shiniest trophy for being the best nursery for miles and miles. More importantly each child no matter what their ability, strengths or weaknesses are loved, cared for, nurtured and taught how to grow. For that, the world is a kinder place to grow up in. In Alfies' own words he said "Mummy, do you know who my heroes are?" "I love Mrs Goggins, Mrs Pollitt and Mrs Cooper (She's the big boss) and I love all my friends". Nothing more needed!

My 3 year old child attends Bacup Nursery School and their response to dealing with the pandemic has been outstanding. The headteacher and staff have the children's best interests at heart and they have worked extremely hard to ensure the children are kept safe and the nursery has stayed open. I know that my child is still having all of the magical experiences that my other children had there, an example of this being when Father Christmas came to visit, and the staff ensured each child had their own visit with him, this was planned extremely well and was very safe. Bacup Nursery School is an outstanding setting for children and the level of dedication and care for the children has not been affected by the pandemic. I highly commend the Headteacher and staff for doing such a wonderful job during these difficult times.

Bacup Nursery School has provided my son with the best start to his learning within an outstanding educational setting. The learning that is provided is beyond anything that any of my other children had at such a young age. He absolutely loves coming to Bacup Nursery School and is always excited for the school day. My son hasn't been able to attend nursery during Lockdown due to my other commitments at home, but the support and exceptional learning packs that have been provided for him are nothing less than exceptional and I am so pleased that his learning has been able to carry on even in these uncertain times. I cannot thank the staff enough for all their hard work and the commitment they show to the children and parents on a daily basis, always going above and beyond whilst doing an outstanding and amazing job with the children, and each and everyone of you should be so proud of the amazing jobs that you do.

I've been so impressed with how all the staff have worked to make nursery as safe and normal for the children (and parents) in these strange Covid times. The run up to Christmas captured all your hard work perfectly. Somehow, you all managed to maintain this new normal from the filming of Nativities (I loved it!) to the work and creativity that went into making Father Christmas's visit a reality (in his 'special grotage' as my son reliably informed me!). My son didn't see the visors and masks. He was just blown away by Father Christmas taking time out to come and see him! I love the photo I have sent-it captures so much-the attention to Covid safety, the childhood wonder of Christmas, and that special look of encouragement and of sharing in his amazement, that only someone who is passionate about their job can give the umpteenth child that day to see Father Christmas. Thank you to you all.

Firstly, I'd like to thank all the staff at Bacup Nursery School for all their hard work and care towards not only the children but the parents as well. I find this nursery an excellent place, always going above and beyond in everything they do. The teaching here is brilliant and my child has made big improvements from all the time of being here. They always keep parents up to date with every action and event. Secondly, I'm glad all their hard work has paid off to do all they can to keep nursery open. The safety measures in place are incredible which helps my child not miss out on all his learning that he needs especially with going to primary school this year.
